Comprehensive eye examinations
Pomona Valley Optometry doctors provide comprehensive eye examinations for your entire family. We recommend these examinations be performed annually to maintain optimum eye health. During your examination, our doctors perform a variety of tests which checks for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and other eye diseases. Tests include (but are not limited to):
-Visual field to verify peripheral vision
-Tonometry (puff of air test) to measure the pressure inside the eye
-Keratometer to assess the curvature of the eye
-Refraction to determine eyeglass prescription
-Bio-microscope to rule out diseases located in the front portion of the eye
-Ophthalmoscope to look for eye disease in the back of the eye
Recommended optional screening:
Digital imaging photography of the retina (picture of the back of the eye)
Contact lens examinations
Our doctors can fit contact lenses for refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and even presbyopia in either soft disposable or rigid gas permeable lenses.
Contact lens training will be provided for first-time wearers.
Emergency services
Our doctors are licensed to treat and manage most eye-related emergencies such as red eye and foreign body removal. If you have such an emergency that requires immediate medical attention, please call us immediately at (909) 469-4804 .
On-site Laboratory
On-site edging for some prescriptions resulting in less of a wait before the glasses are ready.

Our staff is fluent in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and French.
